Eligibility Criteria for Indian Army Dental Corps Recruitment 2024 :
Educational Qualification:
1. One must possess a BDS or MDS degree from a college/university recognized by the Dental Council of India ( DCI).
2. The candidate should have registered as a Dental Practitioner with any State Dental Council.
3. Additionally, a minimum of 55% marks in the final year BDS or possession of an MDS degree is required.
Internship:
Candidates should have completed one-year compulsory rotatory internship by 30 June 2024. Exceptions are made for certain specific cases as detailed in the brochure.
Dental Registration:
Candidates must possess a Permanent Dental Registration Certificate of the State Dental Council/DCl, valid at least up to 31st December 2024.

The Civilian Dental surgeons on commissioning in AD Corps will be granted the rank of Captain in the pay scale, Level 10 B (₹ 61,300 – 1,20,900) of the Defence Pay Matrix as elaborated in Army Pay Rules-2017 (7th Pay Commission). They will be entitled to Military Service Pay (MSP) of Rs. 15,500/- per month, Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) at the rate of 20% of Basic Pay. HRA (if applicable) as per category of the city, (i.e. X, Y, Z, where the officer is posted) and Dearness Allowance as admissible. Depending upon the rank & area of posting, officers posted to field areas are eligible for Field Area Allowance, High Altitude Allowance

1. Male applicants should have a minimum height of 157 cm, while those from Hill and Northeastern States can have a minimum height of 152 cm.

Selection Process for Indian Army Dental Corps Recruitment 2024 :
1. Interview = Candidates will be shortlisted for interview based on their scores in the NEET (MDS)-2024 conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE), New Delhi, under the Ministry of Health & 3. Family Welfare. The shortlisting will follow a ratio of 1:10, meaning for each advertised vacancy, ten candidates will be called for an interview.
2. Medical Examination = Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview conducted by a duly constituted Selection Board in New Delhi to assess their suitability and merit for the grant of the Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Army Dental Corps. The final merit list for SSC in the Army Dental Corps will be determined solely based on the performance in the interview. Candidates who qualify for the interview will undergo a Medical Examination.
3. Document Verification = All candidates provisionally placed on the merit list must undergo a comprehensive medical examination to determine their medical fitness. The decision of the Medical Board will be final.
